The Town of Kenly operates under a council-manager form of government. Council members are elected to four-year staggered terms. The Mayor is elected to a two-year term.
The Kenly Town Council meets on the second Monday of every month at Town Hall, starting at 7:00 PM. The Town Council welcomes input from residents and other interested parties. At the beginning of each meeting, the Council asks for public comment from anyone in the audience who wishes to speak. The agendas for these meetings is prepared by town staff members.
